OT & Cybersecurity Specialist (m/w/d)

Your tasks

  • Co-lead the global OT Security domain within the Digitalization Team, ensuring close alignment with Corporate IT, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production functions
  • Coordinate and support NIS2 implementation, including risk assessments, control validation, and audit readiness across all plants; act as key interface between Corporate IT Security, site operations, and external auditors
  • Define, harmonize, and maintain global OT security standards, including OT network architecture, firewall segmentation concepts, secure remote access, VPN policies, and identity/access procedures for OT assets
  • Evaluate and mitigate cybersecurity risks in OT environments, in close collaboration with Corporate IT Security
  • Support the secure integration of machines and systems into the company’s Industrial Data Platform, including connectivity middleware and visualization environments (e.g., Kepware, ThingWorx)
  • Provide guidance for global and plant-level rollouts, ensuring compliance with corporate OT security requirements and alignment with connectivity standards
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage OT cybersecurity documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventories, access concepts, and audit evidence
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for automation, engineering, and maintenance teams on secure OT operation, incident response, and best practices
  • Act as OT–data enablement interface, ensuring that OT data provided for analytics/AI use cases meets security, reliability, and quality requirements.

Your profile

  • Educational background in automation technology, industrial IT, or electrical engineering, or comparable qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in OT/IT integration, industrial networking, or cybersecurity
  • Strong knowledge of network architectures (Layer 2/3, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) and industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with NIS2, ISO 27001, IEC 62443 or related cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience with IoT gateways, SCADA/MES systems, and digital shopfloor solutions
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into actionable measures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across IT, production, and external partners
  • Independent, well-structured, and results-driven working style
  • Excellent command of English; German is an advantage
